Cleygaerd: Unique experience!

Welcome to
the Cleygaerd!

We are Ron and Monique van der Kleij and in June 2019 we made our dream come true and settled on the Bronsweg. In recent years we have tried, developed, and been open to what came our way.

The garden includes a small nature campsite, a tea garden that is now open every week, a Brocante forest hut where you can buy the best brocante/vintage items, and a meeting place for children with their (grand)parents for Foundation Wortel, the Carrot Garden.

Our Garden on the Bronsweg

"Lelystad's green inheritance"

Our garden is located on the Bronsweg, next to the Mountain Forest in the organic farming area of Lelystad and covers approximately 1 hectare.

The garden was laid out in 1989 as a public garden by landscape architect Cees Vermeulen of Sophora nature gardens. In 2007, the garden continued under other owners as the Polder Garden.

With respect for the garden that was laid out and maintained with so much love, we have further maintained and shaped the garden.

Your natural oasis

Our garden has a park-like character and different atmospheres. Walk through the forest garden and enjoy the soothing nature, or find a spot by the pond. Always something new to discover and beautiful every season. For the little ones, there is a gnome path in the back of the garden.

You can also enjoy a lovely walk in the adjacent Mountain Forest. In need of something tasty? Then visit the Forest House with terrace. Here you can enjoy a delicious cup of coffee or tea and a slice of home-baked apple pie while overlooking the pond.
